Admission is by DONATION, with all proceeds being donated to the Robinette family, who recently experienced a tragic house fire on January 23. Three Varsity Boys Basketball players and Coach Kyle Joseph visited Mrs. Wippel's second-graders today! They read stories and invited her students to watch them play this weekend at home in the DOME! *Freshmen tip-off at 3 PM, JV & Varsity to follow. Admission is by donation!

Congratulations to Westfall High School's January Students of the Month: Gabe Watkins (9) Gabe is a participatory young man with an infectious smile and a positive personality. He faces each day with an optimistic attitude. Kylie Fleming (10) Kylie is a student who works very hard. She is super nice and helpful. Anna Snyder (11) Anna's teachers have many great things to say about her. They say she is dedicated, hard-working, helpful and easy-going. They say she is a leader in the classroom and is a great role model for her peers. Brody Clark (12) Brody is a kind student who always has a great attitude. He always tries to give his best, both in and out of the classroom. Congratulations to our January Staff Members of the Month: Chris Norris, Technology, and Sharon Link, Intervention Specialist. Thank you for all you do!

eSports update: The Chess Team, led by Senior Connor Lambert, defeated Westland 3-2. The team faces Grandview next Tuesday. The Mario Kart team, led by Freshmen Brenner Burke & Sam Poupart, defeated Jackson in a close match, winning 2-1. The team faces Warren next Thursday.

The Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars Program provides scholarships based on merit & financial need for females in grades 9-11 to participate in academic summer classes at universities such as Harvard, MIT & Yale. Apply now through March 1 at http://www.joyceivyfoundation.org.

Westfall Athletics is pleased to announce the 2023 Hall of Fame inductees Jerry Post, Randy Alkire, Bill Davis, and the 2001 WHS Boys Golf Team. The Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will be Saturday, February 10, before the Varsity Boys Basketball game vs. Piketon. Invited alumni, RSVP for the dinner and/or ceremony to brian.wolfe@westfallschools.com or call 740-986-8830 by Friday, February 2.

Westfall Community Service Class is hosting a Tennis Shoe Drive during the month of February. Clean out the closets and donate any pairs that you no longer wear! Drop-off bins will be located by the middle and high school front offices.

The Westfall Fortnite Team placed 1st in the eSportsOhio Drop #4. The team was led by freshman Landen Yang, who had 9 eliminations. The team will face off next Monday in Drop #5 at 4 PM.

Westfall Middle and High School Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday, February 8, and we'd love to meet with you! Parents can request a conference with a teacher by accessing their student's Google Classroom, calling the front office, or emailing the teacher directly.

Westfall Local Schools is sponsoring a district-wide Red Day/Hat Day on Tuesday, January 30, where staff and students are encouraged to wear red and/or a hat to support a local student. Students can bring in $1 or more to wear a hat. All proceeds will go to the Edgington family of Circleville. Their daughter, Addison, a freshman at Circleville High School, was involved in a serious car accident over the weekend and is facing a difficult recovery due to multiple injuries. Join us in supporting this local family in need. Thank you for your support!

Four members of the WHS Varsity Boys Basketball team and Head Coach Kyle Joseph visited Mrs. Woods' second-grade students today! They read stories to the class and answered questions about when they started playing basketball and who their role models were growing up.

WHS finished the week strong with a pep rally featuring a Staff vs. Student Volleyball game!
