This is a great opportunity for students planning to apply for NHS this fall to gain service hours while giving back to WHS. If you're interested in volunteering, contact Soni Grady at soni.grady@westfallschools.com to discuss available times and opportunities.

As we head into summer practices, camps, and conditioning, staying hydrated is one of the most important ways we can help keep our student-athletes healthy, safe, and ready to compete. Athletes should arrive hydrated, bring a full water bottle to every activity, know the warning signs of heat-related illness, and look out for their teammates.

Our coaches and athletic trainers are currently monitoring weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and following established heat safety guidelines to help protect our student-athletes. Parents can support these efforts at home by encouraging their athletes to stay well-hydrated before, during, and after practices, camps, and conditioning sessions.

Download the Westfall Mustangs mobile app to receive team messages from the athletic department and coaching staff. If practices, camps, or conditioning are delayed or canceled, notifications will be sent through the app.

Congratulations to our newly published authors, Evelyn Harrod, Jayanna Patete, and Leila Reed! Evelyn and Jayanna were recently celebrated at a publishing party hosted by Thurber House for Flip the Page, where they read their work. WHS ELA Teacher Mrs. Hook encourages students to submit each year, and we are proud to have three Westfall students published this year.

Flip the Page: Central Ohio's Teen Literary Journal is a teen-led publication produced in partnership with Thurber House, featuring stories, poems, nonfiction, and artwork from writers and artists ages 13–19. For more information on Flip the Page or to purchase a copy, please visit https://www.thurberhouse.org/flip-the-page.

We are very proud of Evelyn, Jayanna, and Leila for this outstanding accomplishment and for representing Westfall so well.

Over the weekend, rising sophomore Lu Coon served as a guest speaker at the Abigail Adams Colonial Tea at Mt. Oval, part of Pickaway County’s America 250 celebration. She delivered her outstanding speech on Abigail Adams, the same one she presented at the state competition. Thank you, Lu, for representing our school so well!

WHS Robotics: A promotional banner for the WHS Robotics program, presented by Southern State Community College and the Ohio Code Scholar Program for the 2026-2027 school year. The image features a gray background with a bold red header and footer. On the left side, isometric illustrations show a computer motherboard, a hard drive, a router, and a digital interface, all styled in a black, white, and red color scheme. On the right, large bold text reads "WHS ROBOTICS" next to a simple geometric logo. Below the title, the text states, "Learn how to design, 3D print, wire, and code your own fully functioing robot!" followed by a larger callout that says, "Earn three college credits!" The red footer at the bottom specifies that the program is open to all students in grades 9 through 12, and no experience is needed.
