Our students swept the top three spots! Congratulations to:
1st Place: Lu Coon
2nd Place: Kylie Evans
3rd Place: Katie Burke
All three students have been invited to an awards ceremony next month to receive their official honors and monetary prizes. The first-place winner, Lu Coon, will advance to the state competition on April 11.
It was a great day for our students and a wonderful representation of Westfall’s academic excellence. We are proud of the way they represented our Westfall Speech Program and our school community. Congratulations!

The revised 2025-2026 district calendar is attached. Calamity days serve as make-up days if delays and/or closures exceed state-mandated minimum hours of instruction for our students. This revision adds three calamity days—June 1, 2, and 3—to the current 2025–2026 calendar. The Board of Education approved the revised calendar at its February 17, 2026, regular meeting. Additionally, the memorandum of understanding with the WEA to add calamity days to the district calendar was approved at the January 12, 2026, regular meeting.

Due to ongoing inclement weather in parts of our district, Westfall Local Schools will be CLOSED today, Monday, February 23.

Join us in wishing senior Ashton Carpenter the very best of luck as he heads to the state tournament for basketball with Special Olympics!
Today, we honored Ashton with a Mustang clap-out to celebrate his hard work and dedication. He proudly led the band through the halls before enjoying a special performance in his honor.
We are so proud of you, Ashton. Go represent the Mustangs with pride!

Several Westfall staff and students were in Columbus this week for the Ohio Educational Technology Conference (OETC)!
Westfall seniors Joe Wray, Ethan Rose, Heaven Henagan, Olivia Dick, and Hope Bryant (not pictured) from the Eastland-Fairfield Teacher Preparation program presented at multiple sessions during the conference.
They shared their innovative ideas for making the world a better place, worked in groups to design a custom AI model to solve a problem they identified, and presented to conference attendees in a Shark Tank-style format. Impressive work, Mustangs!

Afterward, fellow students acted as wedding hosts, handing out themed “menus” where students chose an appetizer, main course, and dessert, with each choice connected to different elements of the play that they explored through activities.
And of course, they ended the lesson with a Ring Pop to help symbolize the marriage!
