Pickaway County school districts recently met with local law enforcement and other agencies regarding potential safety concerns surrounding a rare total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. Following the guidance of these agencies, Westfall Local School District will be CLOSED on Monday, April 8, 2024, due to our proximity to the total solar eclipse path. We understand that this change may impact families' scheduling plans; however, our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our students.

Pickaway County is looking for students to volunteer and work the polls. The next election is March 19, which is the primary election. The law has changed, allowing 17-year-olds to work the polls, and these students can be juniors or seniors. Any students interested should contact the Board of Elections office as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in our government system or those interested in a future career in government. Visit https://5il.co/2e8tc for Student Application. Contact Cherie Brenot at 740 477-3185 if you are interested or have questions.
