Nicole's 28th Chapter is a non-profit organization founded on May 4, 2020, nearly a year after Nicole Ratcliff's tragic passing due to fentanyl poisoning. The organization aims to raise awareness about the risks of fentanyl poisoning, mental health challenges, and the disease of addiction. Recently, Kathy Ratcliff, Nicole's mother and the founder of Nicole's 28th Chapter, shared her story with Mrs. Cline's Pathways classes, discussing her journey and emphasizing how Nicole's death could have been prevented through similar awareness programs. Nicole's 28th Chapter is hosting an awareness event at The Old Barns at Dry Run Farms on Pherson Pike in Williamsport starting at noon on June 1, 2024. The event will feature games, demonstrations, food trucks, and live music. Stay tuned as more information will be shared as the event date nears.
