WES is participating in Right to Read Week from March 18-22. We are doing spirit days as well as a reading challenge per grade level, where students can track the minutes that they read each day. Keep an eye out for Read-a-thon sheets coming home soon too. We hope you'll join us!

We had an incredible visit and book signing from author and cartoonist, Wes Molebash, who shared his inspiration and creative process with our students! Don't miss out on his masterpiece, "Travis Daventhorpe For the Win" Book One – a must-read for all ages, available now!
Mrs. Woods' second-grade class invited Superintendent Mr. Sheets to be a guest reader today with a book he wrote himself! Inspired by the stories he tells his granddaughter, he wrote "A Frog is a Frog" and gave copies to each of her students, allowing them the opportunity to be an illustrator!
"A Frog is a Frog," tells the story of a frog who desperately wants to be a bird, but with some encouragement from his fellow frog friend, he realizes that he is special just as he is and to be the best "you" that you can be!
Join us at the Pickaway County Library for Preschool Fest and Art Show on Tuesday, March 19, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This special event is perfect for young children and families to celebrate creativity and imagination. Explore a variety of art displays and fun activities!
Friday, we celebrated with an afternoon full of friendship! Our students had so much creativity with their boxes. Thank you to all who donated, organized, and made these parties a success!

WES Book Fair will be closing at 5:30 PM today due to impending winter weather conditions. Be sure to stop and shop during our Friendship Parties this afternoon from 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM!
Our 4th-grade students had an amazing opportunity to explore the Ohio Statehouse today and gained a first-hand understanding of the functioning and decision-making processes of the state government.
