Miss Marshall’s art students have spent the past month exploring Earth Day and brainstorming ways to protect our planet. After identifying issues like pollution and waste, students set out to engineer their own solutions.
Starting with rough sketches and moving into 3D construction using recycled materials, the children combined imagination with ’a touch of magic’ to bring their inventions to life. A major focus was placed on symbolism, challenging students to create visual cues that represent their invention’s purpose.
To wrap up the project, students pitched their visionary designs to a very ‘tough’ investor—a stuffed animal dog—and shared their hard work and environmental passion with their peers.

Our America 250 Extravaganza was a tremendous success, a fun-filled evening of learning, celebration, and community. Guests enjoyed free pizza, explored hands-on craft stations, and had the chance to win door prizes. Many tried their luck with the estimation jars, and our Musical Mustangs delivered a wonderful performance.
Each student received a free book to take home, and every guest left with a mini American flag as a keepsake. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating America 250 and helping make the event such a memorable experience.

Mrs. Wolfe helped bring learning to life by arranging for the Cincinnati Bengals mascot to visit her third-grade class as a fun wrap-up to their NFL unit. The mascot also stopped by other third-grade classrooms, giving even more students the chance for a unique, one-on-one experience. Great job, Mrs. Wolfe, and thank you to the Cincinnati Bengals for making our students’ day!
