WHAT TO EXPECT AT WESTFALL ELEMENTARY
THIS INFORMATION WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE AS WE LEARN MORE INFORMATION AND DEVELOP PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES. THESE ARE THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF SCHOOL AND WILL BE RE-EVALUATED.
Back to School Events
Meet the Teacher Night will be held virtually.
Changes have been made in order to create more personal space such as removing unnecessary furniture, spreading out work stations and rearranging desks and tables to face the same direction.
All students will be required to immediately report to their classroom upon entering the buildings and will not be permitted to congregate in hallways, restrooms or common areas.
We will minimize the sharing of supplies in all classrooms.
Teachers are encouraged to utilize outdoor learning when possible. Face coverings will be required outside when adequate social distance is not possible.
Students will have designated doors for arrival and dismissal and staggered entry and exit times.
Hallways have designated signage on the floor for social distancing.
All stairwells are designated as one way.
We will have two daily recesses and multiple mask breaks. Students will be able to remove their masks if they are engaged in physical activity and more than 6 feet apart.
Students will be allowed to use the playground equipment and may not bring their own equipment.
Playground equipment will be disinfected after each use.
Students will wash or sanitize hands before and after recess.
Field Trips and Events
Until further notice, no field trips will be permitted.
Visitors and Volunteers
Once school is in session, no visitors or volunteers will be allowed in the building until further notice.
