This information is being sent to you in regards to whooping cough, also known as pertussis. The health department has asked us to send out a reminder that some cases of whooping cough are present in our community. Signs of whooping cough start as mild upper respiratory infection and can become more severe with a crowing or high pitched cough. If your child has signs or symptoms of this, the health department suggests calling your physician for evaluation.
